This output indicates that there were two more tests than expected, and that one of these extra tests passed and the other failed. If you don t understand why ok(1) passes and ok(0) fails at this point, you probably need to read the documentation for Test::More with the command perldoc Test::More. In general, having a plan with an explicit number of tests is a good idea, because it makes it easier to keep track of development activity. Remove those final two tests now.

The interface created by Readocr.cpl is unique to that program. Other CPL programs that perform different procedures will prompt you for different information and will use different interfaces. You might wish to create a sample database, and activate various CPLs, to test how they work and to examine their results. As with any procedure that involves bulk processing and modification of data, you re strongly advised to make a complete backup of a database before a CPL is invoked.

Using automated testing also allows us to keep track of what is happening with data in our application more readily. We can use the Perl debugger to have a look at the content of our JSON response. Initially, we need to run the test script. The quickest way to do this under the Perl debugger is by issuing the command CATALYST_DEBUG=0 perl -Ilib -d t/01app.t (again with server debugging turned off to suppress Catalyst s debug output). You cannot change the definition of an existing view. Oracle SQL offers an ALTER VIEW command, but you can use that command only to recompile views that became invalid. You can drop a view definition only, with the DROP VIEW command. The DROP VIEW command is very straightforward, and doesn t need additional explanation: SQL> drop view <view_name>; Alternatively, you can replace the definition of an existing view with the CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW command, as described earlier in this section.
